Lottery Winnings Celebration Goes Very Awry

Here's what NOT to do when you win the lottery: blow up your house.  That's what two brothers who won $75,000 on a lottery ticket In Wichita, Kansas ended up doing in a celebration that went very wrong.  According to police, the brothers wanted to light their bongs to celebrate their winnings.  One of the brothers then went to the kitchen to refill the butane torches that would be used to light the bongs.  As he emptied a couple of large cans of butane lighter fluid, it leaked butane into the air which then ignited thanks to the pilot light in the furnace.  What followed was a large explosion, injuring the man.  He was treated for second-degree burns and is in stable condition. Meanwhile his uninjured brother was arrested on drug charges after telling police he had meth and marijuana in the home.

I think it's safe to say that their little lottery celebration is over and literally went up in smoke along with their house.  Oops.
