Here's a sight you hardly ever see: me in the kitchen, let alone an industrial kitchen at that! What's the occasion? I wanted to try my hand at cooking up a soup at one of the Otesaga Resort Hotel's cooking classes in Cooperstown: "Creations of Soup and Stews" that was held last night at the hotel and taught by Sous Chef Melinda.

Class members of all different levels of cooking ability were each given a folder filled with different soup and stew recipes to choose from and for me it was a no-brainer.  I picked "Beer, Bacon & Cheese Soup" since the name of the soup included my three favorites.  How could it possibly be bad?  Or should I ask, "How good can it possibly be?" because in my humble opinion, it was one of the most delicious soups I've ever eaten!  Don't take my word for it though, see what my coworkers had to say after giving it a try this morning.
