Laid-Off SUNY Oneonta Sodexo Employees To Get Grocery Cards

According to SUNY Oneonta, 103 SUNY Oneonta Sodexo employees who were laid off because of the coronavirus outbreak will receive grocery store gift cards of $223 each thanks to the generosity of the college’s faculty and staff.

The program called “Supporting our Sodexo Colleagues 2020” came from the combined gifts of a SUNY Oneonta campus fundraising initiative with faculty and staff, who collectively gave $16,450, and Oneonta Auxiliary Services, which provided a $6,000 matching gift.

College officials say the gift cards will be mailed to the Sodexo employees with a printed message of encouragement.
