Grandma Browns Baked Beans, renowned for their flavor and closely guarded family recipe, had been a cherished staple on dinner tables for years. However, in 2021, the beans mysteriously vanished from store shelves, leaving fans perplexed.

During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Grandma Brown's Baked Beans could still be found on grocery store shelves. However, as the pandemic went on, the availability of the beans gradually grew scarcer.

As whispers and rumors began to circulate among loyal customers, questions swirled about the fate of the beloved beans and the secret recipe they held. The absence of Grandma Brown's Baked Beans on store shelves became a hot topic, fueling various theories and speculations.

Eventually, the truth behind the vanishing beans emerged. It was discovered that Grandma Brown's Baked Beans had encountered a temporary setback caused by supply chain issues. The essential ingredients required to create beans were unavailable which resulted in a pause in production. However, despite the resolution of the supply chain issues, Grandma Browns Baked Beans did not make their promised comeback. In January 2022, Sandra Brown, the granddaughter of Lulu Brown, the founder of Grandma Brown's Baked Beans, shared with Syracuse.com that she was actively in the process of hiring employees to resume production of the beans. Yet, by June of 2022, Brown revealed to Syracuse.com that despite her best efforts, she faced difficulties in recruiting the necessary employees to reopen Grandma Brown's plant.

Here we are a year later and it appears that no significant progress has been made in either hiring employees or resuming the production of Grandma Brown's Baked Beans. As news outlets attempted to reach out to representatives of the company, they found them to be unreachable once again leaving consumers wondering about the fate of their beloved beans.

The Mayor of Mexico, Mayor Grimshaw revealed to WYSR that local leaders had reached out to Sandra Brown, offering assistance in getting the business back on its feet. However, Brown responded that she would contact them if she needed their help.

Operation Oswego County Inc. also extended an offer of support to Grandma Brown's Baked Beans. They expressed their willingness to help the company by drawing upon representatives from economic development, workforce development, county government, and community leaders. In a statement shared with WYSR, Operation Oswego County Inc, emphasized the importance of the company to the local community and the wider public, reaffirming their commitment to providing assistance and support.
