New York State Police at Oneonta are asking for the public's help locating a missing man last seen more than two weeks ago in Otsego County.
Daniel Conklin Last Seen Walking on State Highway 205 in Laurens
Daniel E. Conklin was last seen on July 14, 2026, walking along State Highway 205 near the Mirabito gas station in Laurens.

Conklin is described as a white male, 5-foot-11, weighing approximately 212 pounds, with reddish hair, a reddish beard, and blue eyes. He has tattoos on his arms.
Conklin was last seen wearing a black long-sleeve Calvin Klein shirt with the logo across the chest, blue jeans, a tan trucker-style hat with writing on it, black Puma sneakers, and gray socks. He was carrying a black and white animal-print Nike backpack.
Troopers Have Searched Hospitals, Hotels, and Oneonta's "Tent City"
Since Conklin was reported missing, troopers have checked with his family and friends, contacted local hospitals and hotels, and followed up on reported sightings, all without success. Troopers have also searched the area near Oneonta commonly known as "Tent City."
