It was an exciting weekend of Section IV high school football, as each class championship round was played, with the winners advancing to the New York State playoffs.

The Unatego/Franklin Spartans defeated the Moravia Blue Devils  40 to 20

Class A
The Union-Endicott Tigers edged the Horseheads Blue Raiders 21 to 20

Class AA
The Elmira Express rolled over the Corning Hawks 53 to 18

Class B
The Owego Free Academy River Hawks upset the Waverly Wolverines 27 to 7

The Chenango Forks Blue Devils routed the Oneonta Yellow Jackets 42 to 6

Class D
The Tioga Central Tigers defeated the Charles O. Dickerson (Trumansburg) Blue Raiders 44 to 28.
