Harvest Festival At Bethel Woods Offers Family-friendly Fun

Have you visted the site of the 1969 Woodstock Festival? It's about a 2-hour drive east from the Binghamton area, and worth the trip.

In addition to standing at the bottom (or the top) of the festival grounds, you scan the empty field and imagine what it looked and felt like all those years ago. The museum at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts is also a must-see. It not only gives you the history of the festival, but also the history of 1960s culture.

2025 Harvest Festival

Speaking of Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, it's time for the 27th annual Harvest Festival. Actually, it began on August 31st and continues every Sunday through October 5, 2025.

The event includes live music, artisan and farm vendors, and family-friendly activities from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM each Sunday, rain or shine. According to Bethel Woods, those who attend can explore rows of local farm produce, handcrafted goods, specialty foods, live entertainment, and themed activities unique to each Sunday.

And admission is free. There is a parking fee of $5 in advance online or $7 on the day that you attend. Proceeds go to supporting arts education programs at Bethel Woods.

Harvest Festival Schedule

In addition, the 2025 Harvest Festival features wagon rides, a corn maze, face painting, and pet adoptions from the Sullivan County SPCA. Check out the weekly schedule below.

• September 7 – True Country: Rustic charm meets community spirit with line dancing, a pie-eating contest, cowboy hat decorating, and line dancing instruction by April from Dancin’ & Dreamin’ and the Cast Iron Cowboys.
• September 14 – Wellness: A focus on health and well-being with local holistic practitioners, wellness vendors, and music from Fishercat and Beach Tower.
• September 21 – Consider Peace: Honoring the site’s historic roots with kite flying on the Historic Field, equine rescue visits, astrology and tarot readings, and performances by Tiny Blue Ghost and The Heartstrings Project.
• September 28 – Farm to Table: A culinary showcase featuring a live cooking demonstration by Executive Chef Joel Trocino, farm-fresh tastings, and Killer Film.
• October 5 – Oktoberfest: The festival finale with steinholding competitions, German-inspired foods, and music from Damian Ecco Band and a demonstration from Hudson Valley Reptiles.
