Tomorrow, the remnants of Hurricane Beryl will impact New York, bringing significant weather disturbances to the region. Originally forming in the Atlantic as a tropical storm, Beryl intensified into a hurricane before eventually weakening and transforming into a post-tropical cyclone as it moved towards the northeastern United States. Despite losing its tropical status, Beryl's remnants will carry considerable moisture and energy, and will result in weather events for New York.

As the remnants of Beryl sweep through New York, they will cause heavy rainfall across much of the state. The downpours may to flash flooding in several areas, particularly in areas where the drainage systems have the potential to be overwhelmed by the sudden influx of water. According to the National Weather Service, portions of Otsego County have the potential to see up to 2 inches of rain, and sustained winds of 12mph with gusts topping out at 21mph.
