This Sunday, June 8th, Habitat for Humanity of Otsego County is holding "The Raise the Roof Fun Run" to support their mission of eliminating substandard housing in the county.  This event features a 4 mile fun run timed by Clark Sports Center, and a two mile walk.  The course for both is relatively flat so it's great for first time runners and there's a great incentive at the end, Brewery Ommegang beer and munchies!

Register in advance at HabitatOtsego.org.  You can also register the night before at the Elm Park Methodist Church on Chestnut in Oneonta from 5:30pm to 7:30pm on Sunday (race day), registration is from 9:30am to 11:15am, with the race and walk starting at 11:30am at Brewery Ommegang, 656 County Highway 33, Cooperstown.

Below, Habitat volunteer, Oscar Oberkircher details what runners and walkers receive and what funds are used for.
