Otsego County Habitat for Humanity has just released a construction update on  new house they are building on McFarland Road in the Town of Oneonta.
"During the past week the kitchen cabinets arrived and were taken to the job site where they remained until after the snow storm (which prevented us from working on Thursday). Saturday, after shoveling for an hour or so, the cabinets were moved into the house, unpacked, inspected for damage, and all of the base and wall cabinets along the outside wall were installed. All that remains for installation next year are the peninsula cabinets.

Some of the doors were painted and all of the baseboard supplemental heat on the west side was installed and energized. Due to the storm, our mini-split installer was not able to come, but he promised to do it next week, so one or two of us will be there to help with that. Left to do next Spring (when we start volunteer work again), are sinks, counter tops, smoke detectors, toilet, and such, in order to obtain the Certificate of Occupancy."
