
Growing, Cooking and Eating With Cornell Extension of Chenango
Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chenango County is gearing up for its first 'Grow, Cook, Eat' program.
The program is aimed at those who are interested in growing food, cooking healthy recipes, and saving money at the grocery store. Participants get a plot in the community garden or a container garden at home, as well as a personal gardening mentor from Cornell’s Master Gardener Program and a numerous classes.
Co-ordinator Stacy Edick says the cost is $50 for the whole course, which she describes further:
Applications are available from Stacy Edick at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chenango County at 607-334-584, Ext 20. Application forms must be returned by March 7th. There will be an orientation class on March 18th; the registration fee is due at that time.
The program is open to adults of all income levels.
