This Thursday, if your cellphone buzzes loudly and a message comes on the screen reading "Presidential Alert", don't be alarmed.  This is a Nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System.

According to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the rest of the message you will receive on your smartphone/wireless device will read:

"THIS IS A TEST of the National Wireless Emergency Alert System. No action is needed.”

The sending of the Wireless Emergency Alert will begin at 2:18 p.m. EDT.  You should only receive this message once.  For more information about this CLICK HERE.
