Assemblyman Clifford Crouch reminds New Yorkers that May is Mental Health Awareness Month and is aimed at raising awareness about severe mental illnesses in our communities. Crouch said he was happy to support the mental health portion of the budget and highlighted a few noteworthy programs: $20 million in new funding for Community Health Program payments; a $1.8 million increase, totaling $2.8 million, for the Joseph P. Dwyer Veteran Peer to Peer Services; and an $11 million increase for Community Mental Health facilities for minor rehabilitation, administration purposes and preservation of the facilities.
