Recently, I wrote about my experience getting a mammogram. For me it's easy since I have adequate health insurance, but what about those who are uninsured or under-insured?  How do they get cancer screenings?

That's where the Cancer Services Program comes in.  This state and federally-funded program provides breast, cervical, and colo-rectal cancer screenings to individuals without insurance and those whose insurance does not cover the cost.  There is no income eligibility requirement. These services are available primarily to women ages 40 - 64 and men 50 - 64.  There are some exceptions for those younger and with a family history of cancer.

Case Manager of the Cancer Services Program, Rebecca Ballinger explains all the details and how to take advantage of these services.

To find out your eligibility for this program and how to receive a cancer screening, call 1-888-345-0225.
