A four-time convicted drug felon from New York City was arrested earlier this week for allegedly selling heroin in the city of Oneonta.

Otsego County Sheriffs' deputies say in November of last year a quantity of heroin was purchased from 27-year-old Christopher Gibbs. It was learned that Gibbs was a parole absconder and parole officers from Utica located and arrested Gibbs in the city of Oneonta. Gibbs was held in Otsego County until he was returned to Elmira State Prison as a parole violator in January. His case was then presented to a grand jury and he was indicted on the drug sale charge.

Gibbs was arraigned in Otsego County Court and then returned to the State Department of Corrections Drug Treatment Campus in Seneca County.
