The New York Council of Nonprofits (NYCON) is pleased to announce the 2019 Otsego County Mini-Grant Program will be accepting grant applications beginning immediately through March 11th, 2019.  This program is intended to measurably improve the governance and management operations of qualifying Otsego County 501(c)3 charitable nonprofits. Launched in 2004, this program is made possible with underwriting from The Scriven Foundation.

The Otsego County Mini-Grant Program has grown in importance every year for the Otsego County nonprofit community.  With nonprofits facing leadership transitions, persistent operating challenges, increasing demands for services, and ongoing governance compliance requirements, the Mini-Grant Program is an essential tool and resource for local nonprofits.  “We have supported this program for 15 years because we recognize how important it is that our local nonprofits have access to high-quality advice and training as they chart their futures,” said Jane Forbes Clark, President of The Scriven Foundation.

There is a total of $45,000 of grant funds available with grant awards averaging $1,000 per nonprofit applicant.  Grants will be awarded competitively to qualifying nonprofits with approved project activities.
