A quilting group at a Fly Creek church is doing more than just helping others – they’re also raising money to refurbish their church.

The Fly Creek United Methodist Church quilters make well over 50 quilts a year and while many are donated to those in nursing homes and veterans, a local TV station reports some are set aside for sale in mid September.

Proceeds from those sales go to refurbish the stained glass windows at the church and so far the quilters raised enough to restore four of the church’s 17 windows.
