The first woman candidate enters the Democratic primary for the 19th district Congressional seat. Erin Collier’s campaign announced they filed over 2,700 signatures in support of her candidacy which is more than double the required number. Collier is a Cooperstown native who worked in the Obama administration as an agricultural economist. She joins six other candidates vying to unseat Republican John Faso who is completing his first term in Washington. The primary is June 26.
