Family Art Fun At Fenimore Saturday

If you're looking for something different and fun to do with your family this Saturday, August 9th, Fenimore Art Museum in Cooperstown has something that will fit the bill: Art by the Lake.  This event from 10am to 5pm is in its 7th year, celebrating the relationship between artists and the landscape.

Art by the lake is a juried art competition featuring 13 selected artists whose artwork will be judged by a panel of judges including the infamous Beekman Boys.  There will be an awards ceremony at 3pm.

Definitely bring the kids because there will be children's art activities with plein air artists sketching and painting right on the museum's lawn.

Admission to this event is $10 for those 13 and older and free for 12 and under. Access to the Fenimore Art Museum and its exhibits is included.  For more information about this event visit FenimoreArtMuseum.org.
