
Extra Heating Assistance Being Made Available to Low Income New Yorkers
New York is set to receive another $50.6 million in home heating assistance to help low income residents struggling with heating bills during this record cold winter.
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has approved the release of extra money from its reserve funds.
U.S. Senators Charles Schumer and Kirstin Gillibrand say the New York aid is part of an extra $454 million in home heating aid that will be made available nationwide as early as today.
