Excavation work begins today on the Main Street water main replacement in Oneonta. According to the City of Oneonta, the work is taking place between Hunt Street (near the Post Office) and Otsego Street. Officials say all businesses within the work zone will remain accessible. While one-lane traffic will be maintained on Main Street, it is strongly recommended that through traffic utilize Interstate 88 via Exits 15 and 16 to bypass the project. Work began Monday and is expected to be completed in early November.
