On Thursday, December 6th the Downtown Oneonta Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony will take place, sponsored by Main Street Oneonta from 5pm to 8pm. The free event will feature wagon rides, live reindeer, Santa and Mrs. Claus, free refreshments, Fokine Ballet Dancers, and the Gingerbread Contest display. Look for gingerbread houses in the windows of NBT Bank on Wall St., also Key Bank and Community Bank on Main St. Winners of that contest will be announced tonight. The Christmas tree in Muller Plaza will be lit up at 6pm by Mayor Miller.
