New York state's electrical suppliers say they expect to have an ample supply of electricity this winter.

The New York Independent System Operator thinks there's going to be a weak demand for electricity across the state this winter, in fact just a little less than last year. The prediction is based on the extra capacity that generators will have this winter, far above this year's forecast.

The biggest demands during the year are generally in the summer when commercial buildings and private homes have air conditioners and cooling systems running.
