Effort Underway to Keep the Oneonta Theater Locally Owned
As the owner of the Oneonta Theater looks for someone to buy the facility, the Greater Oneonta Historical Society is beginning work on keeping the theater locally owned and operating as a performance space.
According to a Utica TV station the theater’s owner has it on the market for $725,000 and says at this point it is no longer his concern what happens to it. The society met last week with the public to come up with a plan for keeping the theater open and operating and a number of options were discussed.
