Early Winter Wonderland in Oneonta, NY [Photos]

I walked out into a Winter wonderland this morning, much to my surprise.  It's only 40 days early.  Winter officially begins on December 21st with the solstice at 12:11 P.M. (EST). According to the Old Farmer's ALMANAC, at the winter solstice, the sun’s path has reached its southernmost position. The next day, the path will advance northward and the days will start to get longer.

Why fight it and complain about the snowy weather?  I must say, it has it's benefits.  It gets me in the mood to do my holiday shopping and it sure was pretty on my walk into work this morning.  Below are some photos captured along my route.
