A report released Tuesday by State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli says that 13 percent of bridges owned by local municipalities are structurally deficient with $27 billion in funding to bring them into good repair. In Otsego County about one and a half in 10 bridges are structurally deficient. The report didn’t name specific bridges but they are described as ones that carry traffic over smaller bodies of water. All of the privately-owned bridges in New York carry 33 million cars a day.
