The lead in the Hancock Town Board Republican primary contest changed on Friday after elections officials counted absentee ballots. According to published results Paul Vetrone, with 78 votes, and Carolann C. McGrath, with 68 votes, defeated Jerry Vernold, who had 66 votes. The top two vote getters move on to the November 7 General election. Officials say there were no changes in the three other primaries in Delaware County as a result of absentee vote counts.
