Krystal Lee, now a senior in high school at Charlotte Valley Central School has always loved music and from a very young age started singing in church. From there she moved on to perform in talent shows throughout the area as a country singer/songwriter. As she gained confidence, she started sharing her music talents at local fairs and charity fundraisers. You may have heard her as well at the Oneonta Holiday Tree Lighting ceremony. Last year during the pandemic, when events everywhere were cancelled, including the Oneonta Tree Lighting, a streaming video of her singing holiday songs was produced at Foothills Performing Arts Center so that Oneonta area residents could enjoy some semblance of holiday cheer that we would all typically get to enjoy at the Downtown Oneonta event.

Where is she now? She's finishing up high school and preparing to enter into college to study music education. No surprise there considering her love of music. Is she still writing country songs? You bet! In fact, after again entering her music into the Josie Music Awards, a national music awards program held each year in September in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee that recognizes independent artists, she turned out nominations for the third straight year. Out of 38,000 entries, Krystal Lee has has three nominations for: Modern Country Female Vocalist of the Year, Rising Star Award, and Songwriter Achievement Award with her latest single called "Gone" which is available on many popular music streaming services. She is also getting radio airplay on blackdog indie country radio and other radio stations in the country. We're so proud of our local country music sweetheart!
