The Damaschke Field grandstand may soon be nothing but a memory as the Oneonta Common Council has voted to demolish the nearly 80 year old stands which were partially condemned earlier this year. Damaschke’s bleachers will remain intact for the remaining Oneonta Outlaws games. City officials estimate replacing the grandstand will cost around $300,000 and an application is being prepared to get a state grant through the Mohawk Valley Regional Economic Development Council.
