Cuomo Puts Out A Call To Retired Doctors & Nurses To Return To Work

Yesterday, Governor Andrew Cuomo issued a call for retired doctors and nurses to return to work to help during the COVID-19 crisis if they are able. With COVID-19 cases rising across the state, more healthcare workers are needed. Cuomo said for those doctors and nurses, New York State would automatically renew their registrations without cost.

Cuomo also mandated hospitals to expand capacity by 25% and warned that more restrictions may be coming if regions cannot get their hospitalization rates stabilized. See video of the press conference below.
