Looking at COVID-19 case numbers reported by The Otsego County Department of Health (5/25): there were 3 new confirmed cases with 1 person currently hospitalized with complications from the virus.  There are currently 27 known active cases in the county with a total of 63 COVID-19 related deaths. There is a New York State and Bassett Healthcare mass vaccination site at SUNY Oneonta that is WALK-IN ONLY to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Currently being offered, the one-time Johnson & Johnson vaccine for those 18 and older. Walk-ins are welcome at any NY State-run site. Wait times will vary.

Delaware County Health officials have an update from 5/20 (updates are once per week now), reporting 2 new cases at that time. On 5/20 there were 25 active cases and 2 people hospitalized. Delaware County Public Health is conducting a weekly single dose Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) COVID-19 vaccination clinic every Wednesday (starting May 26) at the Delhi Farmer's Market, in front of the health department offices at 99 Main St., Delhi from noon to 2:00pm. This vaccination clinic is open to all New York state residents or people who work in New York State 18 or older. In Chenango County, the health department reported on Tuesday, May 25, that at that time, there were 35 active cases in the county with 2 hospitalizations, and a total of 76 deaths related to the virus.

The county health dept. has announced that there is a clinic coming up with the Pfizer vaccine for anyone 12 and older on June 2, with the help of Bartle’s Pharmacy, at 2 locations simultaneously: the Oxford Fire Station from 1:30 to 8:30 pm and at the former Label Shopper Store location in the South Plaza in Norwich from 2 pm to 7 pm. Participants MUST REGISTER for either clinic. Register for an appointment at apps2.health.ny.gov.
