COVID Numbers Going Down In Chenango, Delaware and Otsego Counties

Daily new coronavirus cases are now starting to slow down a bit locally. in Otsego county. The Otsego County Department of Health reported yesterday (1/24) that there were 21 new confirmed cases with 18 people currently hospitalized with complications from the virus.  There are currently 256 known active cases in the county with a total of 26 COVID-19 related deaths, 1 new one yesterday. The Health Dept. has a COVID-19 dashboard with daily updates for the latest information.

Delaware County Health officials have an update from yesterday (1/20), reporting 18 new cases yesterday with 160 active and there are 20 people hospitalized. In Chenango County, the health department's last update was provided on 1/22 on their facebook page. At that time, there were 190 active cases, 21 hospitalizations related to the virus, and a total of 35 deaths related to COVID-19 complications. Updates will be provided when available.
