Governor Cuomo is beginning to open up areas of New York State that were closed down in 2020 due to COVID-19. This includes amusement parks, overnight camps and recreational facilities like Cooperstown Dreams Park, which will be submitting plans to the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) to allow it to field a 2021 youth-baseball season at its Hartwick Seminary campus this summer.

According to AllOtsego.com, the reopening plan asks the NYSDOH to take “into consideration camp testing and reduced capacity,” according to the statement from Attorney Garo Gozigian, the company’s local lawyer. Cooperstown Dreams Park says the camp is awaiting “clarification and direction from the department of health and Governor Cuomo.
