Last evening following a public comments from Cooperstown residents at the Cooperstown Village Board meeting, the board voted unanimously to approve a special use for the 170-car lot in the former Riverside Drive, behind Bassett Hall, according to AllOTSEGO.

The main concern from residents living in the area of the lot is that there would be a drop in their property values if Bassett gets the green light to build a parking lot there. The next step in the process for the lot to become a Bassett parking lot for staff is a vote by the village Planning Board.
