Contractor Faces Charges For Stiffing Middlefield Homeowner

A contractor who never did a roof repair for a Middlefield homeowner is now facing a felony grand larceny charge. According to New York State Police at Richfield Springs,  the victim signed a contract in the fall of 2019 with Utica resident Jamie Singleton of Singleton Roofing, Remodeling and More. The homeowners gave Singleton several thousand dollars as a down payment but Singleton never did any of the work and couldn't be reached. The homeowner then contacted State Police to file a complaint.  Singleton is due in court August 5.
