Clerks in Delhi, Oneonta Cited for Selling Alcohol to Minors

New York State Police in Oneonta and Richfield Springs conducted an underage drinker initiative detail utilizing two underage operatives at 16 different convenience stores in Otsego and Delaware counties on Feb. 3.

As a result of this detail, Eugene Rowell, 50, a clerk at the Hess Express on Main Street in Oneonta and James Erwin, 21, a clerk at the Sunoco Country Store on Kingston Street in Delhi, were both charged with underage sale of alcohol.

Rowell was issued an appearance ticket returnable in the City of Oneonta Court on Feb. 13. Erwin was issued an appearance ticket returnable in the Town of Delhi Court on Feb. 12.
