In light of Halloween coming up very soon, the City of Oneonta posted information on their facebook page from the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on how to celebrate Halloween safely, detailing low to high risk activities related to the holiday. It's a complicated year for sure and it can be hard to know what is safe to do and what isn't when it comes to COVID-19. That's why the CDC has broken it all down for everyone.

Unfortunately tradition door-to-door style trick-or-treating has been labeled as a high-risk activity in terms of spreading COVID-19. There is a way around that though. Consider a version of trick or treating where individually wrapped goodie bags are lined up for families to pick up while practicing physical distancing. For those preparing the bags, make sure to wash your hands thoroughly (for at least 20 seconds) before putting the bags together. This activity is not without risk but less risky than the traditional way of trick or treating.

I hope you all have a safe and happy Halloween however you choose to celebrate!
