Chenango County Murder Case Overturned

A state appellate court overturned the conviction of Remy Ramsaran who was found guilty of killing his wife in December 2012 in their home in South New Berlin. The court said the man did not get adequate legal representation from his lawyer Gil Garcia who was hired by his parents. The prosecutor said he’ll ask to retry the man. Jennifer Ramsaran’s body was found on an embankment west of Norwich. The prosecutor said the man killed her because he was having an affair and wanted $200,000 insurance money.
