CADE Hosting Food, Beverage and Agriculture Expo

The Center for Agricultural Development and Entrepreneurship (CADE) is co-hosting a free workshop and resource expo for agriculture and food and beverage businesses to meet and network with potential sources of funding for their operations. The workshop will include panel presentations covering both traditional funding sources and newer, alternative models.  The event will be held at Bouck Hall Ballroom at SUNY Cobleskill on December 3, 2019 at 9:00 am.

In addition to the opportunity to hear from and meet one-on-one with potential funders, the event will include a special panel on institutional procurement of local foods, and how local producers can build relationships with these potential buyers.

"Most mornings, farmers and ranchers wake up worrying about uncooperative weather and volatile commodity prices. Just the same, they pull themselves out of bed to spend the morning tinkering with crotchety machinery or wrangling uncooperative livestock. When they break for lunch, the kitchen radio alerts them to trade wars with distant countries and the unintended results of federal regulation. As they make their way back outdoors for the afternoon’s work, they can’t help but notice another new house taking shape in the distance as suburban sprawl encroaches on the fields and pastures.
