Last Saturday the Girl Scouts launched their iconic annual Cookie drive program and there is a big change in this year’s campaign.

This year, for the first time the Girl Scout Cookie (GSNYPENN) program offered cookie fans the option to order their cookies before Christmas, the Girl Scout council decided to start the program a few weeks earlier with their digital cookie online ordering platform.

Although you would not get these before Christmas day, you can still place your orders using the Digital Cookie online ordering platform

The GSNYPENN are offering eight different varieties of cookies for $5 per box, available are Mints, Tagalongs, Girl Scout S’mores, Trefoils, Lemon-Ups, Samoas, Do-Si-Dos, and gluten-free Toffee-Tastic.

Customers can avoid fees by pre-ordering girl-delivered cookies to arrive in February.

The Cookie program will run now through March 21, 2021 and proceeds directly support Girl Scout activities, programs and services that empower girls to sharpen and enhance their goals in various fields including business, management, decision making, people skills and much more.

Julie Dale CEO of GSNYPENN was quoted in the news release saying We want our Girl Scouts to have a positive and successful 2021 cookie program and are trying to be creative to pivot and overcome challenges they’ll once again face due to the pandemic while also providing them with a sense of normalcy,”

The news release points out that the annual cookie drive, a major fundraiser, is the life blood of the council, and all the profits are used for troop activities.
