Sometimes you need to rock and sometimes you need to live. Bret Michaels would like to help you do both.

That seems to be the gist, anyway, of the Poison frontman's new venture with Overstock.com, in which the "musician, TV personality, producer and avid do-it-yourselfer" proves he "feels right at home on stage, but he also knows a thing or two about design and fashion."

To that end, Michaels is standing behind the Live Bret Michaels line of home and lifestyle decor, which promises to "fit your every mood, your every season." The Live Bret Michaels page at Overstock offers examples of products for sale as well as clips — like the 30-second spot above — showing families having their homes rocked.

Explaining his interest in home-rocking, Michaels writes, "Before becoming a professional musician, I worked painting homes. For 31+ years, I’ve traveled extensively and have experienced the best the world has to offer. When I’m not on the road, I invest in real estate and flip homes. There’s nothing like seeing your hard work and dedication pay off. I have a style all my own, but my real passion is helping you find your style."

Michaels' day job in Poison, meanwhile, appears to remain on hiatus; although he hinted at the possibility of some 2015 tour dates last fall, saying "We just want to put together the right package and show to celebrate with everyone," the calendar on the band's website remains empty right now.
