According to his website: "Jimmy Wolf is an award-winning singer-songwriter-guitarist who brings a new and exciting energy to the world of blues and rock. He takes the Delta-Chicago blues, 50s rock, and R&B, and mixes these genres with chainsaw guitar and over-driven voice to create a soulful music experience." He has shared the stage with Buddy Guy, Jr. Wells, Albert King, Albert Collins, Johnny Copeland, Millie Jackson, and Little Johnny Taylor.

I can't think of anything that goes better with the blues than hot, smoky barbecue. In my travels, blues shows in places like Chicago and Nashville were always pre-gamed with copious amounts of smoked meat and sides. The smoky, rich flavors of BBQ and the soulful sounds of blues music both create a sensory experience that is satisfying and memorable. The combination of good food and good music can elevate the enjoyment of both.

Oneonta's Big Al's BBQ fits the bill nicely, and will be slinging their food during Jimmy Wolf's set. Owner JR Shepherd hails from eastern North Carolina, ground zero for southern and soul food. On Big Al's menu, you'll find the staples, fried chicken, barbecue, and mac and cheese. But that's just the beginning. JR likes to tinker and tailor the recipes to all tastes while firmly honoring his southern roots.
