Blood Drive Competition In November

It’s the first event of its kind – a blood drive competition – and it’s being organized by A.O. Fox Hospital, part of the Bassett Healthcare Network, and Oneonta Job Corps Academy. The competition, called The First Annual Donor Dash: the Fox vs. the Bulldog, will take place Nov. 8 and 9. Community members are encouraged to participate with employees at both locations as friends and neighbors come together to support citizens across the nation in the wake of recent disasters. The event is named after each organization’s mascot.

A.O. Fox Hospital will host the first blood drive on Wednesday, Nov. 8, from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. at FoxCare Center. The donation site will feature prizes, giveaways, refreshments, and a selfie booth for participants. Oneonta Job Corps Academy will host its blood drive on the following day, Thursday, Nov. 9, from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. in the gymnasium.
