Big Chuck is Shocked at Local Cemetery Disrespect
My wife and I like to walk through the historic Oneonta Plains Cemetery on Oneida Street. It is relaxing, beautifully landscaped and peaceful. Today, with the sun shining brightly on an 80-degree day it was particularly gorgeous.
Until I found the junk
I was shocked to notice as we strolled along that someone had used this venerable Oneonta resting place for a dumping ground for unwanted garage sale items. A large black roasting pot with cover (marked $3) in one section., A baby monitor (still marked $5) in another section. Next we came upon a large metal fire pit! And lastly a framed piece of art. All were clearly from an area garage sale and were marked with price tags. I was shocked to see this (I don't know why I am shocked at anything anymore, really). What a cold, disrespectful thing to do in a cemetery. There are large garbage receptacles, but these items were obviously purposely placed through out the cemetery. I wonder what items I missed.
It was really kind of sad.
