Bassett Trains Sheriffs For ‘STOP THE BLEED’ Program
Bassett Medical Center recently provided training to Otsego County Sheriff’s Office staffers on the National STOP THE BLEED program. Injury Prevention Coordinator and Trauma Program Assistant Becky-Ann Sears taught life threatening hemorrhage control techniques to recognize life-threatening bleeding and intervene effectively.
The course is designed to empower the student to make a life or death difference when a bleeding emergency occurs. The program slogan is “STOP THE BLEED, Save A Life”.
