Bassett Healthcare announced a partnership with Optum which specializes in health information technology and services. Bassett President and CEO Dr. Tommy Ibrahim says, "the collaboration with Optum will infuse Bassett with leading innovations and expertise that will greatly modernize and enhance experiences and access to clinical services for patients."

About 500 Bassett Network employees will be given the option of transitioning to work with Optum. Those that choose that path will continue with Bassett but will develop new skills and learn new technologies through Optum.
