Now Bassett Healthcare Network patients can participate in vaccine Primary Care and Pediatric clinics throughout the Bassett Healthcare Network. Appointments are required to receive vaccines. Additionally, all regional health centers and School-Based Health Centers are offering immunizations by appointment.
Currently, those 12 and older are eligible to get the Pfizer vaccine and those 18 and older are eligible to receive either Pfizer, Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson vaccines. Visit bassett.org/locations to find a clinic near you.
Gretchen Hodgdon, MD, Bassett Healthcare Network’s division chief of General Internal Medicine and Primary Care says, “My hope is that every eligible patient will turn to their trusted providers for support, education, and reassurance. We are all in this together.”
It makes so much sense for people to be able to receive a vaccine at their doctor's office and it's great news for area residents who would like to receive a COVID-19 vaccine and haven't yet because of various reasons.
The push is certainly on right now by New York State and Governor Cuomo's Office to get all eligible New Yorkers vaccinated, especially with the dangers of the Delta variant which has arrived in the state and highly contagious over other variants of the virus according to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
If you don't have a primary care physician and would like to get one in the Bassett Healthcare Network, you can call 1-800-BASSETT (227-7388).
