Bassett CEO Addresses Increase in Non-Covid Hospital Cases

Bassett Healthcare Network CEO Dr. Tommy Ibrahim held a press briefing on Wednesday to talk about the progress in administering the COVID-19 vaccine and also to discuss a possible new crisis – increasing hospitalizations for non-coronavirus issues resulting from patients putting off healthcare during the pandemic. Ibrahim said things that could have been handled in a basic chronic conditions continued to worsen and patients are no longer able to put their care off any longer.
