State Police at Norwich recently arrested a 22 year old Bainbridge man for the class D felony of 3rd degree burglary. The arrest of James Baxter occurred after troopers were advised of a theft of a chainsaw from a garage on Owlville Road in the Town of Coventry. An investigation determined that in late 2015 Baxter had allegedly entered the garage without permission and then allegedly stole a Husqvarna chainsaw valued at over $250. Troopers were able to recover the stolen chainsaw for the owner. Baxter was arraigned in the Town of Coventry court and was remanded to the Chenango County jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail. His next court date in the Town of Coventry is on January 27th.
