Award-Winning Author in Oneonta to Hold Zoom Talk
Pulitzer nominated local author, Alice Lichtenstein will talk about her new book, The Crime of Being. The book explores the effects of a racial incident―how it divides a seemingly homogeneous community over the course of a summer and exposes its dark secrets.

Alice Lichtenstein graduated from Brown University and received her MFA from Boston University. She received a New York Foundation of the Arts Grant in Fiction and has twice been a fellow at The MacDowell Colony.
Her novel, The Crime of Being (Upper Hand Press, 2019) was nominated for a 2020 Pulitzer Prize in Fiction, and has received many accolades.
Alice lives in Oneonta, New York, where she teaches creative writing at Hartwick College, and in Surry, Maine.
